The passenger has been named as 29-year-old Alan Alencar, from Edinburgh, who will appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
The incident took place at Baywater tube station on Thursday night and caused serious delays on the transport network.
It led to the partial suspension of the Circle and District lines during rush hour.

Stops between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road were shut during this period.
Videos taken by passersby outside the station showed fire engines and ambulances in attendance.
